The other day, purely by chance, I was given a very nice set of metal colour changing paddles. They had magnetic properties but there was no routine. I looked them up on the web and the set is still available at varying prices. If anyone thinks they can create a routine then you are welcome to the set. You can see routines using the props on You Tube - some are quite good whilst some are dredful.
It brought to mind the paddle effect I’ve been presenting for so many years (most likely more than 45) “I’ll Do It Again” This routine is with a black paddle and a piece of chalk. To me, and others, it’s the very best 2 minutes of magical fun ever. I looked this up on the web and You Tube and was surprised that I could find no reference to it or any video.

When you think that the Paddle move and prop has been exposed and given away all over the world, in breakfast cereal boxes, cheap magic sets etc. and yet it still manages to entertain lay folk.
Over last winter 2009/10 I had a break from performing for a few months and yet when I resumed I was amazed that I hadn’t forgotten the routine at all. Very much like riding a bike - once learnt, never forgotten. I used it only last weekend.
I recorded this myself, of myself, and I know it would have been best with a lady helper but I hope you will see what a great routine it is. It’s at it’s best with lots of audience back chat. You may even have to desire to learn it.
